and on Lady Windermere’s Fan (1892) and 

The Importance of Being Earnest (1895) 

James Joyce is an Irish novelist noted for his experimental use of language and exploration of new literary methods in such large works of 

fiction as Ulysses (1922) and 

Finnegans Wake (1939) .

Jonathan Swift is an Anglo-Irish author, who was the foremost prose satirist in the English language. Besides the celebrated novel 

Gulliver’s Travels (1726), 

he wrote such shorter works as A Tale of a Tub (1704) and “A Modest Proposal” (1729) .

D.H. Lawrence is an English author of novels, short stories, poems, plays, essays, travel books, and letters. His novels 

Sons and Lovers (1913), 

The Rainbow (1915), and 

Women in Love (1920) made him one of the most influential English writers of the 20th century .

So, here D. H Lawrence is not an Irish writer. He was an English writer.
